Existing industry is processing oil and gas and working to find new more efficient ways to process one of Scotland’s key natural resources. Alongside these developments is the opportunity to forge a new energy future for Scotland using the resources, the expertise and the skilled workforce here in Grangemouth, there is a growing cluster of new energy and renewables innovators carrying out research and development in emerging technologies.

Falkirk Council are working with Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Government to deliver district heat and power networks across various parts of the area to make Falkirk the number one location in Scotland for sustainability and new energy developments.
